Spring Wedding at Lago Ottawa | Aimee + Bobby

Aimee & Bobby's wedding was nothing less than perfect. The weather held out, we had a beautiful day & even though the Californian family was a little chilly, they all were huge troopers braving the cold for the most amazing, loving couple I have met.

These two amazing people hired me with less than 4 months till their wedding. Aimee was moving here from California (in a snowstorm none the less - nothing says "welcome to Canada" like a snowstorm with 40cm of snow!) to be with her amazing hubby to be! Aimee & Bobby met while Aimee was visiting Ottawa from California for a friends wedding. It wasn't until the day after the wedding that they met at another party & immediately hit it off. The wedding was in May last year & they started a long distance relationship (being that she was still living in California) the next month, June. They were both very lucky to have amazing jobs that allowed them to see each other every month for a couple weeks at a time.

The proposal was something straight out of a romance movie. The original plan was for Aimee to pick up Bobby at the airport & they were going to fly to Mexico together for a family vacation over the Christmas holidays, but Bobby had other plans...

Bobby flew in one week earlier than he was supposed to and Aimee's girlfriend had planned a girls only weekend to keep her occupied that day. Their plans included walking to the beach to hang out, drink some wine (cause obviously!) & watch the sunset, but as they started walking to the beach, Aimee noticed this guy (Bobby) standing on the beach, surrounded by candles. It took her a few minutes to realize it was him & not a figment of her imagination. She walked over to him and was completely in shock with what happened next - being asked to spend the rest of her life with the man of her dreams. I think it's safe to say "girls day" ended at that moment. ;)

Having amazing friends like Aimee's who can keep a secret like that is definitely one of a kind, but meeting the man of your dreams, planning a wedding and marrying him less than a year after meeting, now that my friends, is absolute true love.

Aimee & Bobby - thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me capture your most gorgeous wedding day. You guys are such an amazing couple & I LOVED spending the day with you both. I wish you the most joyful, loving, amazing future together!
